Spooky Story BOO! Book Project

Spooky Story Writing BOO! Book Project Printables
Posted Sep-21-2007

Uh oh, I see October coming around the corner and signs of my annual Pumpkinitis condition coming on ...

The first breakout happened today when I co-opted to create some cool project templates for Creativity Portal columnist Molly Anderson-Childers's Spooky Stories and BOO! Books kids (and kids at heart!) Halloween writing project.

Molly does a supreme job at encouraging participation with this "scary" Halloween writing activity and provides a number of kid-friendly story prompts that will fill pages (and books) with imaginative creative writing.

And so to facilitate further hands-on funning, I designed four printable project templates in the likeness of a Halloween pumpkin Jack-O-Lantern: a front and back book cover and a blank and lined inner page, all in the shape of the grinnley gourd you see above for the "book making" portion of the project.

So, if you have a Halloween-ish or ghost story lurking inside of you just dying to get out, don't be afraid to try this boo-tastic story writing project yourself. I guarantee that your favorite creative kidling will love it. It's not too creepy, and it absolutely will get your creative brain oozing. No tricks here... just treats!

"The opposite of depression is expression. Expression. Express yourself. When you're depressed you're not expressing yourself. You're expressing a part of you that doesn't even really want to exist." — Wayne Dyer, The Power of Intention Radio Show 6/18/07

"Look! An elephant eating a flying saucer!"
Studies show that engaging in such relaxing, yet creatively-stimulating activities like cloud-gazing for a mere 10 minutes twice a week not only improves mental clarity but provides a meditative, mind-altering state of poofy bliss for those who become "one with the floating clouds." ...
